Hypothetical illustration for an Op-Ed in the New York Times paper. I chose to this editorial, titled 'Our Jury-Rigged Health Care', because I found it extremely relevant and interesting. The article details how the American healthcare system is full of workarounds that are designed to be a disservice to the patient and how hard this makes the jobs of nurses and doctors in hospitals. The illustration manipulates the text in order to make the nature of the workarounds clearer, disrupting the experience of even reading the article.
